Canyon Road Paint & Sculpt Out

Watch Canyon Road Become One Giant Outdoor Studio

Canyon Road Comes Alive in the Open Air

Each October, Canyon Road returns to one of its oldest traditions: artists creating art in public. During Paint & Sculpt Out, painters, sculptors, jewelers, photographers, ceramicists, and mixed-media artists step outside their galleries and into courtyards, sculpture gardens, and the historic sidewalks that have inspired generations of artists.

Rather than simply viewing finished artwork, visitors experience creativity as it unfolds. Watch paintings develop brushstroke by brushstroke, see sculptors shape clay and bronze, ask artists about their techniques, and discover the stories behind the work directly from the people creating it.

For one afternoon, Canyon Road becomes an open-air studio stretching the length of the historic district. Every gallery offers something unique, from live demonstrations and artist conversations to new exhibitions, music, refreshments, and opportunities to commission original work.

Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a longtime collector, Paint & Sculpt Out offers one of the most personal ways to experience the artists, galleries, and creative community that define Canyon Road.
